You’ve been spending some time on the net looking at skin care reviews and different skin care products and programs trying to find the best skin care line. Good. You’re interested in your skin health and want to improve your skin.

But if you’re currently asking yourself “what’s the best skin care line” you’re dwelling on the second most important question of skin care. Not the first. You’ve got to remember the golden rule of skin care. Don’t harm your skin.

It can be a more important consideration than the skin care products that you choose. If you ignore the golden rule then no matter how good those skin care products are your skin health may be going backwards. If you follow some simple steps to make sure you aren’t doing any damage to your skin you should be way out in front.

What do I mean when I say don’t harm your skin? I mean this. So many women do things in their day to day lives that do serious damage to their skin, and they don’t even think about it. Here’s just 2 examples of the worst things you can do for your skin. Sunburn and smoking. Both of these are terrible for your skin.

Smoking damages your skin in multiple ways. For example it damages your circulatory system and so your blood doesn’t circulate as well as it should. And like other parts of your body poor circulation damages your skin, because your skin relies on blood supply for great skin health.

And sunburn is no better for your skin either. Sunburn can damage your skin permanently and even lead to skin cancer.

And that’s only the start. Here’s another example that may really surprise you. There are big brand skin care products and cosmetics on the market that actually do damage to your skin. The reason is that the FDA has no brief to regulate what is put into cosmetics and skin care products, so the big companies can put about anything they want into the products, and they do. Mineral oil is a fine example, it’s a petrochemical product that damages your skin but is very cheap to use. So it’s in there.

And avoid some other things too, like big brand soaps, extremely long hot showers or baths, and chlorine in your water. Filter your water with a high quality water filter that operates on your shower water as well as your drinking water and remove the chlorine. And avoid that “exfoliation”. That too can damage your skin if overdone.

By all means look for the best skin care line, using the best line of skin care products will do wonders for your skin, as long as you choose natural skin care products that don’t damage your skin. But remember, you can undo all the good done by those skincare products by doing some of the things I’ve written about above. Choose the best skin care line, by all means, and use it religiously, but don’t forget the golden rule.

Don’t damage your skin. Ignore that golden rule at your peril. Then go find the best skin care line and use it.
