When he is accidentally shipped to New York, he thinks his super powers will get him home. He teams up with, Mittens the cat, and Rhino the hamster, and tries to get back to Hollywood.
The Hurricane: The true story of Rubin ‘Hurricane’ Carter, a middleweight title contender, who had his dreams of a boxing title abruptly ended when he was falsely arrested and convicted of a triple homicide. He eventually gives up all hope when imprisoned until a young Blackman, and his adopted Canadian parents take up his lost cause. They are up against staunch racism at every turn, but eventually Hurricane is set free.
Cinderella Man: Recounts the true story of James J. Braddock, the Cinderella Man. Braddock was a boxer in the early 1930′s that was seemingly already washed up from a not so stellar career. He was down on his luck and barely keeping the family alive. To save his family Braddock revives his career, and then does the impossible. He wins the heavyweight title.
Framed: Railroaded to prison, Baker pledges reprisal on the corrupt cops who set him there. The author, director, and megastar of Walking Tall is old hands at this sort of action melodrama, and make the most of the opportunity. Cast includes Joe Don Baker, Conny Van Dyke, Gabriel Dell, John Marley, Brock Peters, and Roy Jenson. (106 minutes, 1975)
The Abdication: A slow pace documentary-drama of that tells the story of Sweden’s Queen Christina who leaves her thrown and converts to Catholicism. Pearl Harbor: This epic movie looks at the devastation of that eventful day, December 7, 1941 when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. This story follows the incredible courage of a nurse and two daring pilots, who bravely move forward, all the time trying to deal with the overwhelming catastrophe before them.
Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm: Formulaic film in regards to spunky gal who’s sent to live with her 2 abrasive aunts; mixes emotion, melodrama, and comedy, although it needs the spontaneity and kindle of other Pickford films. Cast includes Mary Pickford, Eugene O’Brien, Josephine Crowen, and Helen Jerome Eddy. (71 minutes, 1917)
